Death

ALBEMARLE -- Mrs. Hazel Ramelle Whitley Webb, 76, died Monday, March 10, 2003. Mrs. Webb was born January 2,1927 in Stanly County, NC, the daughter of the late Jacob Virgil 'Lee' and Laura Furr Whitley. Mrs. Webb was a Secretary for the Dept of Interior at Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge until her retirement. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Armond Franklin Webb and a brother, Horace L. Whitley. She is survived by: her son, Terrell W. Webb of Lake, WV; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Charles Miller of Chesapeake, VA; foster daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jeff Evers of Export, PA; 2 foster grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Evers. Funeral service will be Friday, March 14 at 11:00 AM at Friendship United Methodist Church with the burial at the church cemetery. The Rev. Roy Sides will officiate with a 30 minute state. Visitation is Thursday, March 13 from 6 to 8 PM at the church. Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood is serving the Webb family.
