Death
Carol "Sue" Herrin Honeycutt, 83, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022. She was surrounded by a circle of love and support from her family. Sue was born May 30, 1939, in Stanly County, to the late, Millard Herrin, and Clara Furr Herrin Connell. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Fred Connell; her brother, Vernon Herrin; her sisters, Ramelle McLester, Rachel Hinson, and Pauline Hatley; and her longtime companion, Cal Reichart. She is survived by her children, Debbie Granger (Steven), Sharon Gray (Jackie), Tammy Fertenbaugh (Don), Lisa Karriker (Scott), Mike Honeycutt, and Eric Honeycutt (Cathy); her sister, Jean Bost; her nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; her loving fur babies, Destiny and Alfie; many extended family members and lots of friends. She was a loving Moma, Mawmaw, and Mimi. Sue was a member of Wilmar Park Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Cabarrus Funeral & Cemetery, 3892 Hwy. 73 E in Concord. The funeral for Sue will begin at 2 p.m. A graveside service will follow immediately after the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Cabarrus County. Nurse Brittany and CNA Jenna were amazing in their care of our mother. We appreciate all you did.
