Mary Eliza CANTERBURY

Mrs. Mary Eliza Canterbury VanFleet, 60, the wife of George Freman Van Fleet, died yesterday morning , at her former home, 422 Sixth Avenue, the cause of her death being an attack of paralysis. Funeral services will be conducted at the home, by the Rev. Curtis Robinson, of Ripley, WV., assisted by Dr. John S. Jenkins, pastor of the Johnson Memorial Methodist Episcopal Churth, South, tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Mrs. VanFleet, who was before her marriage, Mary Eliza Canterbury, was born in Gallia County, Ohio, on October 1, 1863. She was married in that county to Mr. VanFleet on November 2, 1882, and in 1887, the family moved to this city, where they have resided since that time.
She is survived by her husband, George Freeman VanFleet, three daughters, Nora E. VanFleet, Mary ruth VanFleet Edelen, and Nettie Jane VanFleet Wars; two grand children, Mary Elinor Edelen and Roberta VanFleet Edelen; six sisters, Mrs. Perry Cales, of Lucasville, Ohio, Mrs. James Newland, of Grayson, Ky., Mrs. George B. Carroll, of Ashland, Ky., Mrs. John Duley, and Mrs. Robert B. Leedy, of Grayson, Ky., and Mrs. A.F. Felts, of Vanceburg, Ky., and one brother, John Canterbury of Grayson, Ky.
