Sadie Lee Parker Furr, 74, of Mize, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Merit Health Central Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Monday, September 9, 1946, in Yazoo County, Mississippi. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, February 26, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Bro. Jimmy Seay will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564. Mrs. Sadie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She had a love for everyone that she ever met. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her loving family. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Ruport Parker and Fannie Inez Davis Parker; one son, Paul Furr; one granddaughter, Krystal Lynn Todd; one brother, Joseph Parker. Survivors include her husband, Thurman Clyde Carpenter of Mize; two sons, Charles Parker and wife, Michelle, of Puckett, and Mitchell Furr and wife, Jennifer, of Mize; one daughter, Glenda Crawford and husband, Ronald, of Mendenhall; three step-daughters, Lisa Carpenter of Morton, Cynthia Carpenter of Leesburg, and Jennifer Carpenter of Sebastopol; nineteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Kim Furr of Benton; four sisters, Lottie Hall of Mt. Olive, Mary Elizabeth Summerhill, of McLaurin, Sheila Thames of Mt. Olive, and Pattie Beers of Mize; and a host of other family members and friends.Endnotes
