Death

Arnold Howard Furr, 86, of Concord, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Arnold was born May 29, 1938 in North Carolina to the late Phillip Quinn Furr and the late Mary Zula Furr. She was also preceded in death by brother, Charles Quinn Furr, and two sons: Kevin and Keith Furr. Mr. Furr graduated from Hartsell School in 1956. He worked at Pelton and Crane for 28 years. He was a long time member of Harvest Community Church. His greatest joy was his family but he did like to spend time on the golf course. He also loved a good Sunday afternoon football game or race. He also loved traveling with the love of his life, Geri. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nancy (Geri) Furr of Kannapolis, NC; his daughters, Tonja (Jimmy) Counts of Columbia, SC, Cindy (Tim) Cauble of Kannapolis, NC, Ginger (Kevin) Alexander of Wilkesboro, NC and Terri (Ken) Furr Hulsey of Alexandria, LA; son, Jack Cleaver of Simpsonville, SC; sisters, Ruth (Richard) Hataway of Salisbury, NC and Shirley Safrit of Mt. Pleasant, NC and borthers; Darrell (Sue) Furr of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Raymond Furr of Concord, NC. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly. The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Harvest Community Church located at 4284 Orphanage Rd., Concord, NC 28027. The funeral service will follow the visitation at the church. The burial will be private for the family only. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Furr family.
