Death

Allen, Bonnie Louise, 94, of Montgomery, died peacefully on April 13, 2020. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Lindel L. Allen. She was born to the late Manford and M.E. Furr on April 24, 1925 in Luverne, Alabama. She is survived by her son, Lin Allen and his wife, Sandra Nana, two granddaughters Ashley (Beau) Armistead, and Lindsey (Robert) Moore, and G.G., six great-grandchildren Cole Armistead, Lani Moore, Judah Armistead, Ella Moore, Zoe Armistead, and Robert Moore. Louise graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1943. After years of traveling the U.S. Air Force, she and her husband settled in Montgomery. Louise and her husband were members of Frazer UMC. She most recently lived at Wesley Gardens where she had many friends and wonderful care. The family would like to thank her caregiver and companion for almost fifteen years, Brenda McClendon. She will be missed by many, but most of all by her family. The family will celebrate her life with a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to sojourncounseling.org, a non-profit counseling ministry of Beau and Ashley Armistead (granddaughter).
