Death
Doris Williams Furr, 67, died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999. Born in Leesville, La., she had been a resident of Hampton since 1960. Mrs. Furr is survived by her daughters, Doris F. Pollard of Richmond and Donna R. Furr of Gloucester; her sons, Donald R. Furr of Hampton, Bruce E. Furr of Concord, N.C., and Keith W. Furr of Burkeville, Va.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Steven E. Pollard.
