Death

Herbert L. Lansdale, 77, Route 3, Town Creek, died Tuesday at Crestwood Hospital, Huntsville, after an extended illness. He was a member of Donald Baptist Church, a retired crane operator with Reynolds Metals and a native of Lawrence County. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Donald Baptist, Town Creek, with the Revs. Gene Franks and Elmer Flowler officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Town Creek, Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Lansdell, Town Creek, daughter, Marjoies Hall, San Bernadino, Calif., Marie Kidd, Athens, Audrey Bryant, Town Creek, Shirley Grissett, Florence, Mary Alice Davenport, Joshua, Texas, Elaine Williams, Goldsboro, N.C.; brothers, Floyd Lansdell, Town Creek, Heran Lansdell, Knoxville, Tenn., sister, Zora Campbell, Town Creek; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
