Death

DODGE CITY-- Gailand D. Bartlett,90, died April 26,2017 at Manor of the Plains in Dodge City,KS. He was born on July 24,1926 at Dodge City, Kansas the son of Gus and "Teenie" Bartlett. He married Bettye Jo Dick on March 27,1948. She preceded in in death on December 8,2011. Gailand was a farmer and former partner in the Double B&S Feedlot. He was a avid K-State Football fan and loved to play pool. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Dodge City; Masonic Lodge of Minneola and past member of the Shriner's. Gailand is survived by two sons: Kent(Ruth) Bartlett of Fowler,Ks. and Dr. Randy (Linda) Bartlett ;two daughters, Lisa (Larry) Plante of Russell,KS. and Tammi (Randy) Dinges of Littleton,Colorado; one sister, Echo(Don) Owen of Longmont, Colorado; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a son, Kerry Neil Bartlett. Services were held at Swaim Funeral Home on Saturday,April 29,2017 at 10:00 am with Mr. Richard Crockett presiding.
