Death
Relatives and friends in Jackson and other portions of the county were saddened last Thursday night to learn of the death of Mrs. W. C. Furr, nee Claudine Stanley, which occurred at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Stanley, at Sunflower at about 7:00 o’clock. Mrs. Furr was born in Jackson on May 6, 1907, where she was reared and educated. She married seven or eight years ago to Mr. W. C. Furr and to this union were born three children: two sons, Harvey and Carl, and one daughter, Margaret Ellen, all of whom survive her. She had been a sufferer from tuberculosis for over two years; spending several months in the far West during the past year in the hope that the high, dry climate of that section might restore her to health. Besides her husband and children Mrs. Furr leaves to mourn her untimely passing, her devoted parents Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Stanley, of Sunflower, Washington County, Ala.. two brothers, Mr. Cobel Stanley of Jackson and Mr. Neal Stanley, now of Sunflower, and six sisters, Mrs. S. C. Fendley, Mrs. Glover Bedwell and Gann McVay, of Jackson, Mrs. W. G. Lovett, of Satsuma, Mrs. S. Bryant of Montrose, Ala., and Mrs. Hazel Fisher of Selma, Ala. The remains were brought to Jackson for interment in Pine Crest Cemetery; following funeral services in Jackson Methodist Church by Rev. C. S. Talley, pastor of the Jackson Methodist Church and Rev.
