Death

Annie Belle Burris Bullock, age 80, of 24715 Kates Drive, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Monday, November 8th, 2010 at her home. Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 at Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC. Dr. Darrell Huneycutt and Rev. Stoney Benfield will officiate and burial will be in Prospect Baptist Church's cemetery. Born February 20th, 1930 in Alamance County, NC, Mrs. Bullock was the daughter of the late Elmer Carwell and Freda Poplin Burris. She was a graduate of New London School and a retired employee of American Lockstitch and Knitsters. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, Prospect Baptist Church's WMU, and Stanly Squares Western Square Dance Club. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lane Bullock; two sons, Allen Lane Bullock and wife Christine of Albemarle, NC and Jack Shelton Bullock and wife Janet of Norwood, NC; one daughter, Anita Bullock Beachum and husband Larry of Norwood, NC; three sisters: Kathleen Hardister of New London, NC, Diane Whitley of Albemarle, NC, and Brenda Carroll Rush of Locust, NC; six grandchildren: Teresa Bullock Hurley, Allen Bullock, Jr., Larry Beachum, II, Jack Bullock, Jr., Brian Beachum, and Brandon Beachum; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ervin Carwell Burris, and two sisters, Frankie Jean Horton and Novillian Shue.
