Death
Jane Kassaw Phillips, 84, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away October 22, 2019. She was born December 29, 1934, in Hollis, to Charlie and Martha (Furr) Weaver. Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a prankster who loved life to its fullest. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; five sisters; and one step-granddaughter. Survivors include her husband Joe W. Phillips; son, Ed Kassaw (Special Friend: Magdalene Blackmon); daughter, Brenda Kassaw; step-sons, David Phillips (Terri), Danny Phillips (Kathy); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A celebration of Jane’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chad Montgomery, Blake Kassaw, Randy Kitchens, Jason Hampshire, Billy Kitchens, Ezra Henderson, and Phillip Howell. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Kassaw, Cree Kassaw, Dr. Timothy English, and Dr. Henry. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice Home Care.Endnotes
