Death
Lula Estelle Barbee White, 97, went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Atrium Medical Center in Concord. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. William Nix, will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. Mrs. White was born February 3, 1921 in Cabarrus Co., North Carolina, the daughter of the late Charles Barbee and the late Beulah H. Furr. She was retired from Willis Hosiery Mill. She was a charter member of Wilmar Park Baptist and Odell Baptist. She was also preceded in death by her husband Mike White, and son, Larry White. Survivors include daughter, Judy McDonald; daughter-in-law, Diane White; grandchildren - Tammy White, Lisa (Dwayne) Hammill, Jeff (Tia) White, Mike (Catherine) Morton, Matt McDonald; and great-grandchildren - Alyson Hammill, Brenden Johnson, Brayden White.
