Death

Faye Peterson, 62, of McAlester, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Wanda Faye was born on August 28, 1956 in McAlester to Otis Wilbur and Arlene Marie (Furr) Allen. She married Ken Peterson in 1990 in McAlester, and they made their home on the outskirts of McAlester. Faye was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker for most of her life, and enjoyed working puzzles and watching her hummingbirds. Faye is survived by her husband: Ken Peterson of the home; children: Shonna Subrina Grogan, Anthony Nathan Grogan and wife, Shelly, Brian Levi Grogan and wife, Shanna, all of McAlester, Amythyst Peterson Manning and husband, Patrick Timothy, Christian David Peterson and wife, Elizabeth, all of Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Coty Grogan, Haleigh Gamble, Cory Duncan and wife, Savannah, Zacary Baker, Maddison Peterson, Stanton Peterson, Trenton Grogan, Javen Grogan, Jaxxon Peterson, Cintry Grogan, Laurel Manning, Hunter Peterson, and Wyatt Peterson. Also great-grandchildren: Temperance Duncan and Jazyn Duncan; father: Otis Allen; brothers: Wilbur Allen and wife, Sheryl Lynn, Jimmie Dale Allen; sister: Donna Diane Peterson; and a number of nieces and nephews. Faye is preceded in death by her mother: Erlene Allen, son: Jason David Grogan, and a brother-in-law: Gregg Leslie Peterson.
