James Howard Watson, 72 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. James was born July 28, 1944 in Concord, NC, to the late James Howard Watson and the late Cannie Furr Watson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at Center United Methodist Church in Concord officiated by Rev. Tony Allen. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survivors include wife, Sylvia Gail Watson of Concord; son, Jamie Watson of Kannapolis; three granddaughters, Harmony Storm Watson, Arabella Skye Watson, and Scarlett Rayne Watson. Beloved husband, father, master woodcarver, artist and instructor. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Watson family.
