Notes
Death
Juewania “Jay” Lee Brown, age 60, of Cedartown, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughters, Christian, Lyndsey, Julie, and Megan Barclift and her husband, Keith Barclift; her granddaughter, Ava Caroline Kellogg; her father, Jere Paul Furr; her sister, Felicia Turner; her brother, Greg Furr; her nephew, Jeremy Gaddis and his wife Sarah, and their children, Hailey, Jeremiah, and Georgia. In addition to her mother, Carole Cheek Furr Teal, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Brown, who passed away on April 16, 2015. Juewania “Jay” Brown, a fiery redhead, was truly one-of-a-kind. She came into this world riding motorcycles and was the ultimate “Daddy’s girl.” She had a contagious smile and laugh. She never met a stranger. When she asked how you were doing, she really cared about your answer. Her love was pure and selfless. She walked daily hand-in-hand with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She devoted her time and energy to everyone around her. She was as at home shooting pool and riding motorcycles as she was going on mission trips and teaching kindergarteners at Trinity Chapel Academy. She loved life and was truly appreciative. She loved to read, learn, teach, and travel. She was patriotic. She enjoyed spending time at her father’s farm, tending to the cows and the garden, and just enjoying a quiet evening out on the porch. She saw the good in people no matter what. Her faith was unwavering. She loved music; from Elvis to Stevie Ray Vaughan to her beloved Gospel music. She was devoted to her family and friends. She was excited by God and His word. She was an adventurer and rebel. An old soul. She preferred jeans and cowboy boots, and her devoted Standard Poodle was her best friend. She was a daughter, a wife, a sister, and an aunt. She loved, above all else, being a mother and a grandmother. Her four daughters and her granddaughter were her greatest joy. She was our constant, our steady, our home, the wind beneath our wings. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 19th at 2 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Rockmart, Georgia, with Reverend Eddie Barton officiating.Douglas County Sentinel, Douglasville, Georgia, December 16, 2015
