Notes
Death
Linda Lee Jacobs, 81, of Charlotte, died on September 1, 2024. Through the blessing of hospice, she was able to be at home surrounded by family. Linda was born in Albemarle, NC, on July 24, 1943, the daughter of Ralph and Flora Furr Morton. After graduating for Albemarle High School, she worked for North Carolina National Bank before it became Bank of America. She then went on to work for All State Insurance as an underwriter before transitioning into claims. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she was very involved in her church. Linda was a member of the Rocky River Central Stake and served as the Relief Society President, one of the highest ranks a woman could have in the church. She also served as a Primary Teacher. When not working or serving her church family, Linda took advantage of the blessings she received in her arts and crafts talents. She loved to sew, knit and crochet. When the Southern Christmas Show would come to town, she could always be found there. Most of all, though, Linda loved the time spent with her family and her friends. Linda is survived by her son, David "Buzz" (wife Trixie) Jacobs of Charlotte; six grandchildren: Alaina, Michelle, Cynthia, Jessica, Reggie, and Lee; and her siblings Mary Pennington, Roger Morton and Darryl Morton. She is further survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Catherine; and her siblings: David and Gary. Linda's family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. Services will be held at 11 am at the LDS Church, 2500 Rocky River Road, Charlotte, on Saturday, September 14, 2024.Endnotes
