Death

Rebecca Jane McGraw-Furr passed away September 22, 2024 with loving family by her side. She was born in Cabarrus County, North Carolina on July 20, 1959 to the late Clarence and Shirley (King) McGraw. Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, David and Bobby; her sisters, Linda, Nancy, Patty, and Joyce; her son, Robby & wife, Rainbolynn McGraw; her daughter, Dara Furr Adcock; stepson, Daniel Oxendine; stepdaughter, Sarah Gunter; grandkids, Adeana Kelli McGraw, Kylie Mateo, Elana Cochrane, and Shaylynn Castro; nieces, Taylor, Jocelyn, Amanda, and Crystal; nephew, Devin; step grandkids, Abigail Gunter, Rhonda Gunter, Emma Gunter, and Carl Gunter; her great-grandkids, Marcello and Elias; and her fiancé Lawrence Widenhouse. In addition to her parents, Rebecca is predeceased by her stepson, Justin Oxendine; and, nephews, Jesse and Daniel. Rebecca had a passion for life and especially liked to explore and travel. She was also fond of all varieties of flowers and gardening. Most of all, though, Rebecca absolutely loved her cherished family – especially spending quality time with all of her grandkids and great-grandbabies. The family will receive friends and family Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Cabarrus Funeral Cremation & Cemetery, 3892 NC Hwy 73 E Concord, NC 28025. The funeral service will begin at 5:00 pm; and, burial will immediately follow at Cabarrus Funeral Cremation & Cemetery.
