Death

EDWARDSBURG - Jacqueline M. Franks, 46 years old of Edwardsburg, passed to her rest Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at her home after an illness. She was born June 13, 1969 in Benton Harbor the daughter of Hurlon and Jean (Furr) Franks and has lived in the Edwardsburg area all of her life. Jackie worked long, hard hours in factory work. She knew the welding trade, being a supervisor, press operator and many other duties while working for Schrock Mfg. of Elkhart. Surviving Jackie are her children, Lonnie Schmidtendorff of Edwardsburg, Jessica (Mike) Philpot of Edwardsburg and Jonathan Schmidtendorff of Edwardsburg. She is also survived by her parents, Hurlon and Jean Franks of Epps, LA and her three brothers, twins Floyd (Linda) Franks of Edwardsburg, Lloyd (Rita) Franks of Edwardsburg and Billy (Peggy) Franks of Greenville, MS. Family who have passed are her grandparents, her brother Jerry Franks, an infant sister Cathy Jean Franks in 1964 and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends may gather on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 West Main St. (US-12), Edwardsburg. The Service of Remembrance will be on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, where all may gather for one hour before the service. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Soule. Interment will follow at the Edwardsburg Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the Franks Family grave lot.
