Death

David Lee Warwick, 84 years of age, of Indian Trail, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at his home. Mr. Warwick was born November 9, 1930 in Mecklenburg County, to the late James Morris and the late Hazel Annie Furr Warwick. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deana Leigh. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, October 26, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Hwy., Monroe officiated by Dr. Steve Jirgal. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens at 8901 Lawyers Rd., Charlotte. Mr. Warwick "Skeeter" was a very active member of the Masonic Lodge 618. He was also a member the Oasis Dune Cats unit. He was a generous philanthropist and was instrumental in helping raising money for the Shriners Childrens Hospital and the Masonic Home. David was a loving husband, father and PaPaw. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a fan of Dale Earnhart. Survivors include wife, Lois Warwick; daughters, Suzanne Herlocker and husband Jerry of Midland, Pam Hall and husband Tommy of Indian Trail, Cheri Lewis and husband Steve of Concord, and Melanie Belk and husband Mitchell of Mooresville; sons, Marty Warwick and wife Madonna of Indian Trail and Kevin Warwick and wife Tammy of Monroe; sister, Doris Earp of Monroe; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Warwick family.
