Death
Sherline Elizabeth Strube, 85, of Wall, Texas passed away on January 6, 2021. Sherline Michalewicz was born to Andrew and Louise Michalewicz on October 22, 1935 and was raised in the Olfen area. She enjoyed many good times with her family and friends growing up. She married her sweetheart, Daniel Strube, in 1956 at St. Ambrose Church in Wall, Tx. She was a loving and dedicated wife, helping Daniel with farm duties as needed. They were blessed with six children. Together, Sherline and Daniel taught their children the importance of strong faith, working hard and having a generous heart. Mom provided a warm and loving home for her children. After the children grew up, she began babysitting for community members. She offered many hours of love and playtime and provided a Grandmas love to all. Throughout the years she cared for over 100 children in her 'breeze way.' She was the ultimate proud Grandma and was often seen at their events or bragging on their accomplishments. Those grandkids were her pride and joy and she looked forward to each of their visits. Her family continued to grow and she was blessed with 40 great grandchildren and are expecting two more soon. Grandma Strube prayed and lit many candles for these grandkids and we always felt she had a special way of reaching God in prayer- like no other. Sherline was deeply devoted in prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was always ready to have fun and looked forward to the next place to go. Family gatherings were loud and fun and a special event at "Grandma Strube's house." Sherline enjoyed entertaining friends and family at her home, offering them food and drinks, and always wanted to make sure "a good time was had by all." She enjoyed playing bunko with her dear friends, visiting with her best friends- "her sisters", and was a member of the Busy Bee Quilters, the Golden Girls, St. Ambrose Church, CDA and Altar Society. Sherline is survived by her children: Sherry Holubec and husband, Dennis; Denise Latzel and husband Stanley; Roger Strube and Debbie Norris; Paula Frerich and husband John; Pattye Furr and husband, James; and Kelly Matschek and husband, Bruce; nineteen grandchildren: Derek Latzel, Kayla Hartl, Nicole Womack, Jessica Norton, Bailey Naugle, Koreley Whittington, Justin Strube, Chelsea Wood, Blake Frerich, Kortni Vanicek, Shelby Kalina, Shayna Neighbors, Danielle Dunn, Kristen Dennis, Ethan Furr, Mason Matschek, McKenzi Murray, Brylee Niehues, and Reid Matschek in addition to forty great grandchildren. She is also survived by her "other half"- her twin sister, Merline Weishuhn; and sisters Wilma Halfmann and Delores Hoelscher and her sisters-in-law, Beatrice Michalewicz and Sandra Michalewicz. Sherline is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; her siblings: Margie Jacob, Evelyn Jacob, Bernie Michalewicz, Donnie Michalewicz and Warren Michalewicz and many special friends and family members. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons, Darryl, Doyle, Karl, Clayton Weishuhn and Lisa and David Edwards and Logan McCoy. A rosary will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 6:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. A special thank you to Interim Hospice Care. Memorials may be made to the Priests of the Sacred Heart, Sacred Heart Monastery, P.O. Box 900, Hales Corners, WI 55130-0900 or www.poshu.org.Endnotes
