Death
CONCORD Barbara Furr Childers, 71, of Concord, died at her home Feb. 5, 2015. Barbara is survived by her husband, Edward Childers of the home; two daughters, Kelly C. Adkins and Kimberly C. Strickland; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Furr and Becky McRorie; and a brother, Jerry Furr. A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Salvation Army, 216 Patterson Ave. SE, Concord, NC 28025.Endnotes
