Death
Delmar-Edward A. Girod, 77, of Delmar, died Friday, December 17, 2015 at Seaford Center of Genesis Eldercare. He was born February 27, 1938 in Morgantown, West Virginia, s son of the late Edward E. Girod and Mary Payton Girod. Ed proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1960. He is survived by a daughter, Joy Korea and her husband, David of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania; three grandsons; a sister, Marie Porterfield of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred "Shirley" Girod, who passed in 2004. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment will follow at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.Published by The Daily Times on Dec. 20, 2015
