Death
Marie Washam age 85 of Rison, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Cleveland County Nursing Home in Rison. She was born January 19, 1924 in Lonoke, Arkansas, a daughter of the late James T. Crymes and Zula Rogers Jacks. Mrs. Washam was a Homemaker and a Nurse's Aid who loved taking care of the elderly. She loved her children and enjoyed time with her grandchildren whenever possible. Mrs. Washam was of the Baptist faith and a person who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was preceded in death by one son, Garland James Washam, one daughter, Betty Lou Sivils, one grandchild, Cynthia Marie Furr, four brothers, John Henry Crymes, J.R. Crymes, Charles Benton Crymes, Franklin Crymes, and three sisters, Linda Sue King, Betty Ellen Everman, and Louise Crymes. Mrs. Washam is survived by two sons, Robert Leroy Washam and Richard Earl Washam; three daughters, Emma Doris Coleman, Helen Ann Furr and Kathy JoAnn Watt; four brothers, Art Crymes, Roy Crymes, Gary Crymes, Bob Crymes; one sister, Joan Bryan; twenty grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Reverend Leonard Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Peppers Lake Cemetery near De Valls Bluff at 1:00p.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009, prior to service at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Charlie Watt, Keith Watt, Alan Watt, Richard Washam, Jeffery Green and Darrin Tyler. Honorary pallbearer is Kenneth Green. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.Endnotes
