Death
LANCASTER, SC Mrs. Johnnie Mae Furr Hartley, age 84, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at White Oak Manor. She was born October 4, 1928 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Charlie George Furr and Vermell Dennis Furr and was the wife of the late John Hartley. Mrs. Hartley retired from Springs Industries and Lancaster County Care Center and was a member of Lancaster Church of God. Mrs. Hartley, the last surviving member of her immediate family is survived only by 4 grandchildren, Debbie Gallien and her husband Brian, Donna Adcock and her husband Kennith, David Hartley and his wife Janet, and Donavan Hartley and his wife Clelsea all of Lancaster. Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by a sister, Lois F. Hartley. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hartley will be 2:30 pm Saturday, December 1, 2012 at The Chapel of Hartley – Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Lacy Jones and Rev. Douglas Martin. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Hartley will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 pm, Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the funeral home and the family suggests memorials be made to Lancaster Church of God, 1437 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster SC 29720.Endnotes
