Retired Nursing Assistant GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest on Friday, November 3, 2006, Mrs. Bernice Boyd McElyea, wife of the late Mr. Arthur McElyea, of 3165 Gordon Hwy., Grovetown, GA. Surviving is a son, William Turner, Grovetown, GA; three daughters, Sharon Furr Goodwyne, Grovetown, GA, Connie Covington, Augusta, GA and Patricia Buckley, Huntsville, AL; a brother, Sovern Boyd, Warrenville, SC; four sisters, Leila Sims, Edgefield, SC, Margaret Sanders, Langley, SC, Ola Sims and Caroline Shockley, both of Warrenville, SC and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. McElyea was born in Talatha Community, SC to the late Clarence and Mattie Key Boyd. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Revs. Marion Jay and Don Tabor officiating. Pallbearers will be John Sanders, Ricky Griffin, Greg Furr, Tony Furr, James Turner, and Josh Buckley. Friends may call at the residence of her son, William Turner, 5820 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA or on Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy. No. 1, Langley, SC.
