Death
June Cottingham Hucks, age 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Greenville, SC. She was born on March 10, 1926, in Bennettsville to the late Margaret Cottingham and the late Vance Cottingham. June's favorite pastime was playing Bridge with her friends. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially during the Christmas Holidays. June was preceded in death by her husband, George Truett Hucks; beloved daughter, Brenda Furr; and her "baby brother" Ebbie Cottingham, who called her Sister Baby! She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters; Cathy Kitterman (Steve); Kimberly Hucks all of Greenville, SC; grandsons, Jeffrey (Sarra) Furr of Cheraw; Greg (Masako) Furr of Columbia; Stephen (Allison) Kitterman of Greenville; granddaughter, Lindsey (Barton) Wyatt of Greenville; June (Nana) was dearly loved by her seven great grandchildren; George Coker (18), Lilly (7), Keira (5), Hadley (7), Hall (5), Truett (4) and Jackson (2). A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Park in Bennettsville, SC. The family will receive friends at the graveside prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. until 1:00 P.M.Endnotes
