One of Marlboro County’s oldest and most unique industries is being sold. Mrs. Jackie Furr of Cheraw, the former Brenda Hubbard of Bennettsville, told the Herald-Advocate this week that she was selling Blenheim Bottling Works, bottlers of famous Blenheim Ginger Ale, to Stephen Matheson Shelton of Albany, Oregon and a Bennettsville native. Mrs. Furr, who inherited the industry from her grandmother, the late Mrs. Alice Odom Hubbard, said that the Sheltons plan to move to Bennettsville and greatly expand the operation at Blenheim.
