Death
Rev. Kenneth F. Huneycutt, age 75, retired Baptist minister of Culpeper, VA died on June 22, 2011 at Dogwood Village in Orange, VA after an extended illness. He was born on July 16, 1935 at Elmwood Farm, Stanfield, NC and was the son of the late Lonnie F. Huneycutt, Sr. and Eunice Furr Huneycutt. He graduated from Oakboro High School, Wingate College and Pfeiffer College, and he continued his education at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree in 1970. He served as pastor for 37 years beginning with Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Louisburg, NC then Central Baptist Church in Church Road, VA and finally with Bethel Baptist Church in Reva, VA, from which he retired in 2004 and subsequently, was named Pastor Emeritus. He was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church, former president of the Culpeper Ministerial Association, former moderator of the Shiloh Baptist Association, and Shiloh Association representative for seven years to the General Board of the Virginia Baptist General Association. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Helen Williams Huneycutt of Culpeper, VA, his son, Thomas Andrew Huneycutt and his wife, Robin, and his granddaughter, Emily Grace, all of Richmond, VA. Additional survivors include his siblings, Joyce Higham and her husband, Don of Oakboro, NC, Elaine Freeman and her husband, Tim of Alexandria, VA and Lonnie F. Huneycutt, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Stanfield, NC, as well as nieces and nephews and their families. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West St. Culpeper, VA with Rev. Lanny Horton and Dr. Jeff Johnson officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Oakboro Cemetery in Oakboro, NC with Rev. Jeff Springer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Culpeper Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1121 N. Main St., Culpeper, VA 22701, Culpeper Baptist Church Building Fund, 318 S.
