Death
ROCK HILL -- Mr. Henry Lee Furr Jr., 81, of 818 Cherry Road died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Rebecca Wilkins officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte. A native of Moore County, N.C., Mr. Furr was a son of the late Henry Lee Furr Sr. and Mae Greene Furr. He was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, was a member of the American Legion and was a member of Masonic Lodge 414 in Indian Land. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Hajoca as a supervisor. Surviving are his wife, Agnes Bell Furr; his son, Ronald A. Furr of Matthews, N.C.; three stepsons, Glenn A. Miller of Rock Hill, Bruce C. Miller of Denver and Joseph Lee Miller of London, Ontario, Canada; two daughters, Doris Lee Parks of Albemarle, N.C., and Norma Frances Loscalzo of Raleigh, N.C.; his brother, Hoyle Eugene Furr of Edgemoor; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 2697 Heckle Blvd., Rock Hill, SC 29732; or to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
