Death
Private services for Anthony “Tony” Furr, 21, will be Saturday at McEwen West Chapel. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Furr, of 3020 Westerwood Drive, died Thursday at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. He attended Ridgeview Baptist Church. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Johnson Furr, of Charlotte; one brother, Stanley Robin Furr, of Charlotte; a half-sister, Miss Jennifer Lee Furr, of the home; a stepbrother, Randy Douglas Crump, of Charlotte; a stepsister, Mrs. Sandra Crump Freeman, of Charlotte; and grandparents, Mrs. Isabelle Johnson Furr, and Mrs. Bernice Mills Howard, both of Charlotte, and Mrs. Ann Lee Mangum, of Monroe.
