Death
Mrs. Martha Adeline Blackwelder, 16, widow of Allen Blackwelder, and mother of Mrs. J. R. Russ of Salisbury, died Thursday afternoon at her home in Concord from paralysis suffered a few moments before her demise. Funeral services were held this morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Roberta Fairview church and interment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Blackwelder was a native of Cabarrus county, where she was born May 27, 1858, a daughter of Tobias and Adeline Foard Furr. She was a member of Rocky Ridge Methodist church. Surviving are three sons, Noah A. Blackwelder, J. C. Blackwelder, and Beacham A. Blackwelder, all of Cabarrus county; four daughters, Mrs. J. R. Russ, Salisbury; Mrs. Charles Fink, Harrisburg; Miss Callie Blackwelder, and Miss Ada Blackwelder, both of Cabarrus; Several grand and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Wood of Concord, and Mrs. Julius Blackwelder of Mecklenburg.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, June 3, 1933
