Jane M. Furr was born 17 April 1844 in Cabarrus Co. 20 Aug 1866 she married Elisha John Garris in Cabarrus Co. Their children : Henry Marshall Garris b. 1867. Marthy Emiline Garris b. 1870, William Thomas Garris b. 1875, Adolpphus M. b. 1878, Georgia Ann Garris b. 1881, Mary Jane Garris b. 1884. Sometimes the family spelled the name "Garries".
