Death
Funeral service for Mary Mildred McCoy Furr Ryals, 86 of Wisner will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 13, 2014 in Wisner First Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Peoples officiating. Interment will follow in South Central Cemetery in Wisner under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM Sunday at the church. She was born top Oscar J. and Annie Mason McCoy on April 13, 1930 in Wisner and passed from this life Friday, November 11, 2016 at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Ryals was a longtime member of Wisner First Baptist Church. She was a retired social worker at Marianna Nursing Home in Wisner. She is preceded in death by her husbands Herbert R. Furr, Sr. and Dan H. Ryals; three brothers Oscar McCoy, Jr., Mac McCoy and Pat McCoy; four sisters Joan McCoy, Edith Campbell, Ruth Finsterbush and Virginia Banks and a grandson James Freeman. Mrs. Ryal survivors are four children Herbert Ray Furr, Jr. and wife Jeni of Poquoson, VA, Judy Furr Freeman and husband James Michael of Austin, TX, Paula Furr Smith of Georgetown, TX and Connie Furr Kifer and husband Lee of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren: Casey Furr and Amanda, Caitlyn Furr and Peter, John Freeman and Lara, Travis Freeman and Bridget, Cody Smith and Leslie, Annie Smith, Tucker Kifer and Kelly, Kelsey Kifer Moody and Chad;two great grandchildren: Jocelyn Freeman and Will Freeman, and host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Deacons of Wisner First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.Endnotes
