Death
Mrs. Rosa Wheelhouse Furr, 67, widow of George M. Furr of 216 N. Jefferson St., Petersburg, died Friday morning in Petersburg General Hospital after a long period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Petersburg, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Marion Green Wheelhouse. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rose Barker of Big Lake, Tex., Mrs. Bobbie Appold and Mrs. Marion Kloepfer, both of Long Inland, N.Y., Mrs. Mary Anne Moore of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Sally Rainey of Petersburg; one son Jim Furr of Long Island; two sisters, Mrs. Bunny Wolfe and Mrs. Beatrice Spain, both of Petersburg; 29 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Boston Lackey, rector of Christ & Grace Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.The Progress Index, Saturday, March 27, 1976
