Death
John Chester McDonald of 207 Essex St., North Charleston, died yesterday at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Connelley's. Mr. McDonald was born Feb. 2, 1896, in Georgetown County, a son of Julius B. McDonald and Ms. Ella Blakley McDonald. He had been a machinist at the U. S. Navy Yard for the past 15 years. He was educated in the schools of Georgetown and was a Methodist. He was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Neta (sic) Bellflower McDonald; a daughter, Miss Betty Buford McDonald; a son, John Chester McDonald Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.The News and Courier, Charleston, South Carolina, August 12, 195
