CONCORD - Callie Naomi Aycock Simpson, 79, of 183 McKinnon Ave., died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord, with the Rev. Ronnie Joe Aycock and the Rev. Roy Lee Barbee officiating. Burial will be at Roberta Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Simpson was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Lonnie Aycock and the late Maggie Helms Aycock. She had been employed by Cannon Mills as a spinner and was a member of Roberta Baptist Church. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband, Carroll Eugene Simpson of the home; daughter, Brenda Simpson Dellinger and husband, William, of Concord; grandsons, Darrell Furr and wife, Melissa, of Oakboro, Kenneth Daniel Furr and wife, Kimberly, of Concord, and Dale Eugene Furr of Concord; great-grandchildren, Whitley Furr and Brantley Furr of Oakboro.
