Death
KANNAPOLIS - Mrs. Jane Hethcock Miller, 79, beloved wife of Dale Miller, peacefully went to meet her Lord on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009. She began her heavenly journey while visiting her son in Asheville. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 101 N. Main St., Kannapolis. Dr. Tom Cabaniss and the Rev. Judy White will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday at First Baptist Church. At other times, they will be at the home, 403 N. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis. Born on Feb. 17, 1930, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Fulton Leroy Hethcock and Nell Furr Hethcock. Jane worked for 25 years for the Kannapolis Water and Sewer Department, where she was a clerk. She was also employed with Virginia's Dress Shop until 2007, where she assisted her daughter, Melanie, with buying merchandise and creating beautiful florals and displays. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught the children's Sunday school class for several years. She also attended Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Dale Martin Miller; two daughters, Debbie Ketchum and husband, John, of Charlotte, and Melanie Keziah and husband, Ricky, of Kannapolis; two sons, Robert Davis, of Kannapolis, and Michael Davis, of Asheville; two sisters, Audrey Hethcock and Dorothy Goodson, both of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Tricia Tuttle, Matthew Ketchum, Deana Keziah Petty, Christopher Keziah, Brittany Davis and Brian Davis; two great-grandchildren, Chet and Lois; a stepdaughter, Ellen Miller Payne and husband, David, of China Grove; three stepsons, Ron Miller and wife, Jan, of Springfield, Mo., Tony Miller and wife, Susan, of Charlotte, Scott Miller and wife, Davina, of Concord; six step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie C. Davis. God bless Amy and all the Hospice team. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, 101 N.
