Death

TUPELO – Susan Furr Higgins, 42, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born Feb. 16, 1967, to Donald Paul Furr Jr. and Mary Ruth Sims Furr. She worked in Human Resources at Aircap/MTD Industries for 16 years. She enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Jason McAnally officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Kelsey Higgins and Lexie Higgins, both of the home; her mother, Mary Ruth Furr of Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Paul Furr Jr., and a brother, Donal Paul Furr III. Pallbearers will be Kebby Hardin, Mark McLarty, Berry Jaggers, Marc Baily, Ted Moll and Joe Compbell. Honorary pallbearers will be John David Rodgers, Pat Rodgers and Bobby Michael.
