Death
MOUNT ULLA — Louise Thomas Thompson Furr, 87, 315 Graham Road, died Thursday (March 23, 1995) at Rowan Memorial Hospital after two months of declining health. Born April 8, 1907, in Charlotte, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late James Fulton and Lela Gulledge Thomas. Educated in Mecklenburg County schools, she was a homemaker and member of Thyatira Presbyterian Church, Salisbury. Her first husband, Ralph Turner Thompson, died Nov.29, 1954; her second husband, Baxter Grier Furr, died Dec. 10, 1960; and a daughter, Geraldine Thompson Weast, died Nov. 24, 1989. Survivors include two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home's Northcrest Chapel, China Grove, conducted by Dr. Stephen A. Moss. Burial in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, Maiden. Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in China Grove. The rest of the time, the family will be at the home of granddaughter Sharon Stout, 11201 Mooresville Road. Memorials: Thyatira Presbyterian Church, 220 White Road, Salisbury, N.C. 28144.Endnotes
