Death
The Sherman Democrat of Monday, May 5 reports the following death Mrs. Alice N. Furr, 63, who had made her home in Sherman since 1905, died at 4:30 Monday morning at her home, 121 East Mulberry street. She was a native of LaFayette county, Ala. She came to Texas 65 years ago and settled at Weaton, Collin county, and came to Sherman in 1905. She was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by her husband, L. A. Furr, one daughter, Mrs. C. V. Dailey; two sisters, Mrs. Jimmie Miller of Melissa and Mrs. Mollie Sanders of Dallas; two brothers, James H, Callahan of Dallas and C. A. Callahan of Celina. Funeral services are to be held at Cottage Hill cemetery, Collin county, at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Hugh Hunt officiating.The Courier-Gazette, McKinney, Texas, May 7, 1930
