Death
Rose Emily Thompson - a 90 year-old native of Chicago, IL and longtime resident of Mobile passed away at her home on Monday, August 11, 2008. Mrs. Thompson, a homemaker, was a 1934 honors graduate of Murphy High School and was a member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Leslie Earl Thompson; son, James Frederick Thompson; and parents, Clyde and Rose Furr. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her son, Leslie Earl Thompson, Jr. of Mobile; granddaughter, Stephanie Thompson (Timothy) Nolfo of Huntsville, AL; sister Helen Furr Austin of Mobile; three great-grandchildren, Brett, Zachary, and Charles Nolfo; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the graveside in Pine Crest Cemetery on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice.
