Death
Sweetwater - Homer Elwood Johnson, 62, of Sweetwater, died of a heart attack while fishing at Lake Trammell about 7:30 p.m. Friday. Two small boys found Mr. Johnson about sundown at the lake, five miles southwest of Sweetwater. They called lakekeeper Jack Teel. Teel administered artificial respiration and oxygen. Mr. Johnson was dead on arrival at Simmons Memorial Hospital. where he was taken by a Cate-Spencer ambulance. Mr. Johnson lived at 200 Orange Street here. Sweetwater - Services for Homer E. Johnson, 61, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Lamar Street Baptist Church here with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Patterson Funeral Home is in charge. Mr. Johnson died after suffering a heart attack while fishing at Lake Trammell near Sweetwater. He was born in Oklahoma and moved to Sweetwater about a year ago. Mr. Johnson was a retired pumper for the Pan American Petroleum Corp. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Rubye Linebaugh of Sweetwater and Mrs. Shirley Reeves of El Paso; six sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hagler of Post, Mrs. Lula Stevens, Mrs. Juanita Tillman and Mrs. Edith McDaniel, all of Casa Grande, Ariz., Mrs. Ola Edwards of Maricopa, Ariz., and Mrs. Willie Comer of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Mathew Johnson of San Diego, Calif. and Albert Johnson of Amherst; and three grandchildren.
