Death
Hughlon Douglas Furr, a 69-year-old Powder Springs man, passed away Tuesday. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Mike Traylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 p.m. until the service. Born in Paulding County, Furr was a mechanic with Barrow Enterprises in Smyrna for 18 years and worked for Clutch Exchange in Powder Springs for the past 10 years. Survivors include his children, Diane Collett and husband, Robert of Powder Springs, Hughlon Furr of Mt. Vernon, GA, and Michael Furr of Powder Springs; sisters, Katherine Furr of Smyrna and Jennett Cheek of Smyrna; grandchildren, Randallyn Dunkley, Richard Collett, Bonnie Furr and Michael Owen; and great-grandson, Tristan Dunkley.Endnotes
