Death
Emma Sauceda Villegas, 83, went to be with the Lord, her Savior on February 1, 2008. She was born in Dilley, Tex. on April 24, 1924 to the late Benito and Luisa Sauceda. She is survived by her brother, Benito Sauceda, Jr.; her loving husband of 52 years, Roberto L. Villegas; their three children, Margie Villegas, Tina Hope (with husband Kenny) and Rob Villegas; two grandchildren, April F. Cerda (with husband Frank) and Matthew R. Furr; and two great-grandchildren, Carter M. and Luke R. Cerda. As a young woman Emma supported herself and her mother first as a beautician and later as a telephone operator. Once married, she devoted her life to her husband, caring for her family, and the great friends she met through numerous church communities. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she adored. Emma truly bore witness to her Christian faith's principles, valuing others more than herself and treating everyone with respect and love. Her many acts of love and kindness, both great and small, touched the lives of so many friends and family members. She will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and with funeral services on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. at the Mission Alamo Funeral Chapels in San Antonio. Interment will follow at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Vitas Hospice, 5430 Fredericksburg Road, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229 or www.vitascharityfund.orgEndnotes
