Julius Michael "Babe" SMITH

(6 Mar 1944 - 12 Apr 1980)

Michael Julius Smith was the Youngest or the Baby of 3 children and we all called him Babe... Babe had a hunting accident when he was 12 years old... The gun he was carrying discharged when he jumped a small Creekside bank.. The Bullitt entered his chin and traveled around his face and would remain above his eye for the remainder of his life... Babe had a son Chad Smith with Phyllis Ann Furr Smith... Phyllis had 2 children from a previous marriage Todd & Dudley... Michael passed peaceful in his sleep of a Heart Attack... Phyllis his wife Stated he had a headache and was not feeling well before going to bed... My father Ronald Tyrone Smith was the only one to survive his heart attack of the three brothers. & their Father.. Michael will always be Babe to me as he was to all of his family... My father was the middle child and he had a heart attack in 1980... My mother had a conversation with Babe at the hospital and Babe was lost because at this time it was just them 2 left... My father recovered and attend Babes funeral less than 2 weeks later... I was born with a bad heart I had a very large murmur... MD Dr. Francis Robicsek told my mother that if I did not have open hear surgery I would be bed ridden by 10 and dead by 12... Here I am typing this info 1/24/2022 45 years after surgery that I had at age 5 on oct . 26, 1976... Babe like my father could of been saved had he went to the hospital instead of bed that night,,, Donnie and Theron could not of been saved if they were at the hospital at the time of their Heart Attack... I had a hard time dealing with the heart attack reality with already having underlined Heart Problems from the beginning of Life...
