Notes
Death
Phoebe Whitworth Boone, age 60 years young, of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2022. Phoebe was the proud daughter of William Furr Boone Jr of Pontotoc, MS & Marianne Wright Boone of Trenton, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William Thadius Boone and her beloved, Roger P Demers. She is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Marie Schneider, her husband, Eli and their children Steven, David and Christian, her uncle, Jeffry Wright, his wife, Leslie, and their children Evgueni and Anna, her best friends Cindy and Bryan Kovacs, her step-grandson Shawn Demers Jr. Born in Pottstown, PA, Phoebe spent her childhood living in Framingham, MA. She had a highly successful career in commercial insurance before retiring to Ocala, FL where she was privileged enough to spend time and care for her parents, Bill & Marianne until their passing. Phoebe remained in Ocala, FL and generously donated her time to her community. She was enormously proud of her time spent as member and former President of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. Phoebe was an avid reader, gardener, crafter, and traveler. A social butterfly who made everyone's day brighter, which is how she gained her nickname Sunshine. During Covid, Phoebe strategically organized safe distance gatherings in her neighborhood playing BINGO & other games bringing smiles to the faces of neighbors. The last few years of her life, Phoebe traveled all over the country in her RV while staying connected with her grandsons who tracked her on a map and loved to hear stories of her travels over facetime. From mechanical failures to bad weather, there wasn't a thing Phoebe couldn't handle out there on the road. In all the places she spent time, she made wonderful friends and was well loved by so many. Phoebe will be remembered for many things such as her kindness, generosity, her big bright smile, and her wonderful ability to spread happiness. She was always quick to help those in need and did it with such grace. All those who knew her were blessed with a special kind of Sunshine in their lives. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the Boone family with the arrangements.Pontotoc Progress, Pontotoc, MIssissippi, December 4, 2024
