Doris Musette Smith Furr, 46, of 191 Vista Dr., West Jefferson, died Sunday, May 26, 1996, in Duke Hospital. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Paul’s Crossing Baptist Church, Richfield, where she was a member. The Rev. Jessie Dennis will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Born Nov. 30, 1949, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of Ruth Lillian Curlee Smith of New London and the late Richard Ray Smith and was a secretary for Blue Ridge Mobile Home Sales in Jefferson. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Earl David Furr of the home; a son, Jeremy David Furr of Albemarle; a daughter, Julie Ann Furr of Albemarle; two sisters, Dianne S. Frick of Richfield and Rita S. Adcock of Kannapolis; and a grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 this evening at Hartsell Funeral Home.
