Death
Christine Page Furr, 72, of 13675 Five Point Rd., Stanfield, died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1999, in Concord Nursing and Rehab Center. Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday with a 30-minute state in Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant, where she was a member. The Rev. Elizabeth Toler and The Rev. Howard Baker will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Born July 16, 1926, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Barry Franklin and Eva Christine Allman Page and was last employed by Allison Manufacturing in Albemarle. Her husband, Walter Lee Furr, preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Burleson of Oakboro; two brothers, George Lee Page and Zeb Monroe Page, both of Albemarle; a grandson; a stepgrandson; and two stepgranddaughters. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Memorials may be made to Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church, 11199 Hwy. 73 E., Mt.
