Death

Mary Stogner Furr, 61, of 620 Shiplette St., Norwood, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, in Stanly Memorial Hospital. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Methodist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Eddie L. Black will officiate and burial will be in Norwood Cemetery. Born May 27, 1939, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Banuiel Jerome and Mattie Honey Stogner and was a sewer for Cassie Cotillion. She was preceded in death by a brother, B.J. Stogner. She is survived by three sisters, Janet Caudle and Rilla Furr, both of Albemarle, and Sylvia Deal of Greenwood, S.C.; two brothers, Harry Stogner of Oakboro and Henry Stogner of Norwood; and several nieces and nephews, including Ginger S. Sinclair of the home and son, Dustin Sinclair. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
